This dress is stunning, yet simple and modern. It’s A-line shape is very flattering and the pleated bodice around waist and fan detail above bust is really unique and ads an element of dimension, texture, and sophistication. It came strapless, but I had 3 thin ribbon straps added to it (they can either be bunched together or separated out/distanced). These can easily be tucked into the dress (as if they were never there) or you can just remove the little stitching for them (on the inside of the dress) if you want them gone all together. The dress color is ivory. Dress fit true to size...wore size 6/8 clothes, dress is size 8. I'm 5.6". I only had it altered in length (as I wore sandals..beach wedding), and had bustle added.
It’s shell is made of light taffeta(stretched) material that is really comfortable, while giving it great structure. I’m sad to see it go, but I have finally come to the conclusion that it is a waste for me to just hold onto.
You can add any sash to the dress. Which I’d highly recommend as the one it comes with (still attached to it) is a cheapy ribbon. I bought a silk one (not sure where it is at the moment) and just placed it over the original sash on my wedding day. I left the original one on just because the sash I used easily covered it, but it can easily be removed.
I had a bustle added to the back to pull up during the reception, etc., and it has an additional little loop under the bottom of the dress train to hook to your wrist as a secondary option.
It has a sweep train, is fully lined on the inside, and has a back zipper to easily put on and for your partner to easily take off. ;)
It has been cleaned (should be dry-cleaned only), and has no tears or stains. You honestly can’t even tell it has ever been worn.
You for sure will get loads of compliments wearing this stunner of a dress, just as I did! Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions at all on it. Wish I could put it on and take a few better pictures of it on me (as I know the ones I have posted of me wearing it aren't the greatest), but just gave birth to another baby so there is just no way I’d be able to fit in it properly at this point in time. Ha Sorry! Unfortnately, the recent pictures I took of it hanging by the windows doesn’t do it justice, especially considering the dress could use a good steam (around the bust/waist area for sure).
Thanks for checking this dress out! If you need me to let you know further measurements, please let me know and I'd be happy to take the time to get those for you. Oh, and if you purchase this from me, I’d be happy to throw in the simple/modern finger-tip length veil that I wore with it too!
