Marie and Edward chose an olive branch to commemorate April 22, 2017. It was the prefect symbol since the day that began at Paradise Farm was indeed so peaceful. Silk ribbon streamers waved in the wind, guiding family and close friends down a winding path where a lush organic arch of flowers waited on the hilltop. The sounds of bluegrass and nature filled the Alabama sky, as the bride and groom were showered with rose petals during the recessional.
Ham biscuits and other small bites, were passed during cocktail hour set in front of the farm house. As evening approached, the small audience of family and friends joined with extended others at Bottega – one of the beloved restaurants owned by well known restaurateur and father of the bride, Frank Stitt. With copious amounts of caviar on one side, and fried chicken on the other, it was a meld of everything right in southern, black-tie entertaining. With oysters, tiramisu in lieu of cake, rosé all day and night, it was a feast like no other.
