Flowers in her Hair II
When we discovered one of our very favorite photographers, Jose Villa, was going to be on our side of the continent we couldn’t resist getting together and have some fun. So we called our friends at B. Hughes Bridal Salon, in Nashville, who were unbelievably generous, brought up some flowers, called Jordan, one of our favorite hair and make up artists, and just played!
Photography: Jose Villa
Location: Carnton Plantation
Flowers + Styling: Joy Thigpen
Gowns: Vera Wang at B. Hughes Bridal Salon
Hair + Makeup: Jordan Byers
Thank you again to all the wonderful vendors above who made this shoot possible. And especially to Jose Villa and Joel Serrato for coming out on such a cold day to create with us. It was so wonderful meeting you both and we can’t wait to collaborate again!

that black dress is ABSOLUTELY divine!!!
I had been toying with the idea of a black wedding dress for a while but somehow got distracted by a couple of other ideas.
Now that I see this post, I am completely on track again! Black would suit this Northern European weather perfectly…
These are just hauntingly beautiful.
I love the images. They seem so ethereal…
GORGEOUS!!! We just love the pictures! I am so glad you got in touch with us to borrow the dresses, and if you ever need anything, please just let us know. We are so very in love.
Please, please, please post a link for that black dress! I cannot find it on vera or romona sites!!
looooove that there’s a dress on this shoot that’s a color other than white!
are all the photos you? you’re such a chameleon! you’re blonde, red-headed and brunette???
Oh my goodness, this is all so gorgeous! I love the hair styling so much!
hey melissa
no, the blonde girl is a legit model, but we do have similar features. its a bit freaky how much we favor each other.
xoxo

The black wedding dress is so stunning I am dying to get a hold of it! Vera Wangs are truly a favorite. The models are equally beautiful too!
STUNNING! I can’t get over how gorgeous the black dress is!
oh my gosh Emily you look sensational.. and this whole shoot leaves me speechless.
I adored the black wedding dress. My wedding dress was red and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I love non-white/ivory wedding dresses.
I’m in LOVE with the black dress. These images are too beautiful for words.
Emily, you look georgeous as usual. Beautiful photo shoot.
I love both, but how can i find the white one?
The white hairpiece was made by just cutting the stems very short and placing them on top of the girls head with bobby pins. We used a mirror and placed them appropriately and just pinned away.
What dress is the one with the fur coat? I LOVE that. Thanks!
I am still looking all over for that black dress. Is it Vera or Romona? Is it available anywhere else in the world besides B. Hughes Bridal?? Please help, my wedding’s in three months!
ok, the black dress is Romona…it comes in white too so try looking for the shape in white and just know its available in black, too. the one with the fur is Vera. and Rose, I know B. Hughes already helped a girl from England get her gown…call them! They’re awesome. I’m sure they can help you, too!
I can’t find that stunning black dress in white, please help! :(
LOVE ! LOVE ! LOVE !! Aboslutely ridiculous !! I’ll be dreaming about this shoot and all the exquisite details all night now ! L-O-V-E !!
A STUNNING shoot! I love the red updo with the black dress – so bold and iconic. I am a bit biased towards wedding hair upstyles though!!
There are some really stunning hair ups here :)
