From the photographer:
About a 40 minutes northeast of Richmond, Virginia, lies the stately North Point Plantation, a grand estate-turned-wedding-venue, originally built in the 1740s. Walking up the driveway to the front of the main house, surrounded by dogwood trees and boxwoods, the Plantation grounds are expansive yet intimate, and evoke a feeling that the entire property is meant only for you and your love to share.

Inspired by fluttering flower petals descending from dogwood trees, each element of this early spring editorial was carefully chosen to evoke delicate movement. The graceful, petal-covered gown, the fragrant garden flowers effortlessly covering the tablescape and calligraphy pieces, and the textural bouquet, all contributed to the overall feeling. A wonderful masculine contrast was provided by our groom’s clean, white and black tux and the white facade and black shutters of the venue. After our couple frolicked through a field of buttercups at sunset, we ended the evening by styling our bride’s hair with countless spring flowers – creating portraits worthy of the most romantic and feminine spring bride.
