Simplicity and working with nature are two of our favorite things. Michael Radford and Amanda from Mandolin Flowers worked together to create this moody forest wedding inspiration by perfectly combining these two elements.

From Michael Radford:

Our shoot took place in a moody, enchanted forest hidden in the midst of San Francisco. I chose this inspiring location, because there is something timeless about a bride, her veil and beautiful florals, which contrast so well when surrounded by nature’s greens. Amanda from Mandolin Flowers was able to create a piece that popped plum, which also offered a contrasting touch to Alexandra Grecco’s enchanting and timeless handmade chiffon gown. The location and all of the elements, in combination with simplistic calligraphy by Tessa Shane, offers inspiration for the San Fransisco Bride and Groom who want a quick escape from the modern, city wedding.

From Amanda of Mandolin Flowers:

For floral inspiration we heavily relied on the beauty of our surroundings, incredibly enchanting and moody. After visiting the location and being surrounded by a never-ending variety of lush greens, I knew the soft plum hellebore would be just the flower to deepen the color palette. It feels like this setting and this collaboration captures the anticipation so many brides experience on their wedding day, an anticipation and feeling of joy that Michael Radford captures so effortlessly in his photography.
