Sourcing design elements for your wedding on your own is one of the most difficult aspects of wedding planning. But sourcing your own decor, like linens, is a great way to save a little money when planning your own wedding. So, if you decide you want to source everything on your own, where do you begin? You may ask yourself “Where do my favorite designers rent linens?” or “Where can I find beautiful linens that match my aesthetic?”. Some of our favorite linen resources for table linens, runners, and napkins are:
Most linen rental companies have matching napkins or something that will coordinate with your chosen rental, but say you’re only looking to rent napkins, or you have something very specific in mind- like worn linen napkins. Try 12th Table if you’re looking for a napkin that gives you a really soft feeling. These look great on a rustic farm table (you can also rent those from 12th Table). And if you’re brave enough, you can always make your own! Ginny Au told us that when she can’t find a linen that’s exactly what she’s looking for, she’ll just whip it up herself! Fabric Store is a great place to source any color of linen, and after a little investigating, you’ll soon learn their linen prices are much more affordable than other fabric stores.
And finally, if you’re looking for a stunning runner or something to make your tables really pop, Silk and Willow has some beautiful runners from reclaimed silk, and plant dyed silk. These are for purchase only, though- so keep that in mind! But who wouldn’t want to adorn their home with beautiful hand-dyed silk?
