Wedding themes can be tricky, but one “theme” that will never go out of style is that of a classic love story. We love the inspirational elements in this editorial shoot and are excited to share more of the ideas behind them with you, from the charming outdoor venue with gorgeous gardens (always one of our favorites!), to the intimate dinner setting, to those amazing florals. Read on for more!

From the Vendor Team:
“From the moment we stumbled upon Tudor Place, we were enamored with its beauty and inspired by its charm. The hustle and bustle of being in the heart of Washington, DC disappeared once we stepped beyond the property gates. With its impressive architecture and lush gardens, we found ourselves daydreaming of a classic love story which would become the inspiration for our editorial shoot.

Our vision was to embrace the residential and luxurious feel of the property. A tucked away garden was the perfect location for the intimate celebration. We set the dining table with pieces that could be found within the home; a textured raw silk linen, family heirloom china, antique silver and fine crystal. These elements were balanced with lush and organic florals in soft yellows and creams. We incorporated delicate blue accents, through the place settings and timeless stationery, to compliment this palette.

The bride’s styling was effortless and sophisticated. Her understated hair and makeup looked stunning in the soft and natural afternoon light and her Zuhair Murad gown played off of the textures throughout the gardens. All of the elements blended so naturally and set the tone for a classically beautiful affair. “
