Navy Blue Formal Long Bridesmaids Dresses

I want to make a bold claim today. I think its possible for bridesmaids to wear something as traditional and potentially risky as long navy blue dresses without looking like they’re going to prom or maybe worse….the cliched bridesmaid. To me, the secret is in picking gowns that are glamorous and draping AND not over-doing it on the hair and makeup. If you pick stiff dresses and give them stiff, too-perfect hair and too much makeup, you’re headed for dangerous waters. Instead, aim for a more effortlessly chic look that says ‘I’m totally comfortable and myself in this amazing gown.’ There’s my two cents. :)

I wore a beautiful navy blue dress by Priscilla of Boston to my best friend’s wedding! Tousled easy long locks and I wore vintage red flats and very little jewelry- I agree with your two cents!!

oh, i like this! the bridesmaids wear navy blue and then the groomsman can wear a nice gray suit , or even beige. that’d look good.

I love navy bridesmaids dresses. It’s a flattering color on any skin tone. Navy is the new black!

All of these dresses are amazing! I think numbers 2 and 6 are my favorite. Bridesmaid dress #2 looks very modern yet a little more casual than some of the other dresses. #6 looks very modern as well, but looks incredibly sophisticated. I could see some brides not wanting to get outdone by such sexy attire!
