Lolide specializes in offering unique, modern engagement rings, uncommon wedding bands and artful jewelry for the non-traditional couple. Lori values all unions and would love to work with you to create the perfect piece or ensemble for your celebration. Using a combination of organic and industrial shapes with a sculptural focus, Lori is very attracted to showing positive vs. negative space. She finds inspiration in the intersection of order and chaos, natural vs. industrial – the beautiful lush organic vine growing on a rusted glass and steel structure or the sound of rain on a metal roof – things that connect her rural Virginia childhood with her new home in Seattle. She strives to reflect this feeling of time, nature, and industry in her designs, a marriage of past and present. Lori uses recycled and recyclable materials whenever possible and always conflict-free stones.
“I am a metalsmith, artisan, reader, printmaker, former social worker, women’s health advocate, feminist. I strive to make the work I do have meaning by offering alternatives to the ‘wedding industrial complex’ and giving a portion of profits to causes that are consistent with the values of hope and inclusion.” — Lori Linkous Devine, creater/owner/designer/maker, Lolide
