Sarah Seven Practically Perfect Wedding Dress

This dress was purchased from the original Lovely Bride in the West Village. It was then handmade by Sarah Seven and later altered to fit my size, see below. I wore this with gold flats and the dress just skimmed the floor/ground. It was so, so comfortable and I danced in this dress through the night. The dress felt so airy and magical.

Dress Alterations

The dress was altered to fit me at the time of my wedding. I am 5'0" tall and I wore flats. The bust is structured and would best fit a 34B, though I was smaller and it still worked great! I was a 24" waist and I think I could have comfortably gone a bit either way without issue. Because it was shortened, the dress does not have quite the same layering effect as the model photos (shortest layers hit lower and are less dramatic); see full length photo from my wedding day (black and white).

Dry Cleaning/Preservation

This dress was stored in it's original garment bag for 4 years prior to being dry-cleaned. Because my reception was outside, there is some staining to the hem that could not be removed when cleaning. Due to the delicate nature of the fabric, there is also some fraying and pulling at the hem. There is a small snag near the waist, where I wore a pin. All imperfections noted in photos and reflected in price. Photos #5-9 are current photos of my dress.
