New with tags, unaltered. I absolutely love it, it’s a gorgeous flowy romantic dress – however, I found a lace dress that was more appropriate for my venue. Note that the photo of the non-model is included to show what it looks like strapless (as I intended to wear it).

Vera Wang’s Inspiration:
The Grecian column is a silhouette I’ve explored for years in my collections. It’s an idea I love for its classical proportions—the asymmetrical draping over one shoulder, combined with a long, graceful shape fit for a goddess. It’s understated elegance, presented in a design that balances structure with softness: hidden boning provides support and shaping, allowing the gorgeously draped skirt overlay to fall across the hip like a delicate ripple across a pond. But the construction never threatens to overtake the sensual effect of the Grecian gown.
A silky charmeuse lining makes the dress feel especially luxurious against the skin. I’ve always believed that comfort is a crucial factor in a bridal gown, and it should never be overlooked. The more-relaxed sensibility you get in this dress, free of any extraneous decoration, would make it a perfect choice for the bride planning a less formal ceremony. That kind of ease and versatility that the Grecian dress offers is what makes it such a long-standing favorite of mine.
