Other Martina Liana 476 Wedding Dress
We had a casual wedding at a beach house, but I wanted a real wedding dress. I also love pink, so this dress was perfect! It would be appropriate for a casual wedding like mine or a more formal wedding as well. It is ivory organza that has a pink ombre effect at the bottom. There are layers of fabric (see pictures) that begin to fade to blush pink around the knee to the ground. It is very subtle, but very unique. I wore a solid sash during the ceremony (not included) and an embellished sash for the reception (included!). The embellished sash is ivory and has silver and blush pink beading from the front to the knot in back. Because of the ombre, the dress should not be hemmed significantly (you would lose some of the pink at the bottom). I bought a few pairs of shoes at different heights to try on with the dress to find the perfect height. I am about 5'4"/5'5" and wore close to 5" wedges with the dress. Depending on your shoe preferences, there is some flexibility in height despite the hem limitations.
The dress was altered from the waist up to an approximate size 6. It has a one point bustle. There is a hook hidden in the layers of fabric that hooks to the last button. It has a zipper back closure with silk buttons down the back. No rips, tears, or spills during the wedding. Some dirt on the bottom of the dress from touching the floor, but should be removed when dry cleaned.
The dress has been stored in a garment bag throughout the alterations process before the wedding (June 2013 to October 2013) and a garment bag in my closet since the wedding (October 2013). It has not been dry cleaned or preserved at this point.
