Vera Wang Lisa Wedding Dress
The dress was purchased at the Vera Wang boutique in Los Angeles, CA. I fell in love with the dress my first day trying on dresses it and purchased it that same day. It is a true ballgown but doesn't swallow you up because the bodice is very fitted and the skirt doesn't flare out until the hips. The skirt is tulle with a long train featuring french lace. The train is a complete showstopper. The bodice is lace with embellishments in an asymmetrical pattern across the front and down on to the left side of the skirt so it sparkles as you move. The straps are tulle and I altered them to come to a V in the back of the dress. It is truly a gorgeous gown and everyone at my wedding couldn't stop commenting on it. This dress was worn once at my wedding ceremony and reception September 2014.
Vera Wang describes the dress as "Draped tulle and Chantilly lace-bodice ball gown with crystal and organza embroidery details" - See a behind the dress article from Vera on her website here: http://www.verawang.com/veraunveiled/2013/08/behind-the-dress-lisa/#sthash.43lB6sEt.dpuf
The dress was altered by the seamstress at the Vera Wang boutique in Los Angeles. It was shortened very slightly (I am 5'5 and wore 4"in heels), the embellishments on the bodice were tacked down to lay flat and I changed the tulle straps so they come to a V shape in the back instead of straight down. The bodice was altered to be tight on my body, the dress is a size 4 and I normally wear a size 4 or 2. Push up cups are sewn in but they are very easily removable if you have a larger chest (I am a 34B). The dress features a bustle, it is a french style bustle and was done so the lace on the train is still visible when the dress is bustled. The dress is not damaged in any way, if you look extremely closely you can see a little light gray on the bottom from where it touched the ground all night but it is not noticeable. I am a very careful person and kept it in excellent condition.
The dress has been professionally dry cleaned
