Watters Lexington Style 8056b Wedding Dress
This is a gorgeous ivory Watters Princess Anne lace dress. It is NOT the actual Lexington 8056B style, but as close to it I could find for posting. It was bought at a bridal boutique in the San Francisco Gift Center (the shop has since closed). It was bought as a size 18 dress and then altered in at the waist and straps a little bit to more of a street size, 14. I think in that process, the seamstress removed some of the tags or identifying labels? Or they could've been faded out when we had the dress preserved by a special dry cleaner. The only label still visible is the Watters label and a "dry clean only". I am happy to send more photos if requested. I can only post three here. I will also include a $150 dollar veil (comb) for free. It is plain front and back layer with simple trim. I can send a photo.
Minor alterations in the straps and waistfrom a wedding dress size 16 to more of a size 14 street size. A bustle loop was also added so the short train could be hooked to allow for dancing. I'm 5'8" and wore about an inch heel with this dress. Approx. measurements are: waist 31 bust 38 length 60
My mom took this to a special dry cleaner and had them archive it. It was cleaned, and wrapped in layers of archival tissue paper, wrapped in a garment bag, and then plastic, and in a closed box. When I decided to sell this dress we opened it up to take photos and noticed that the cleaners had left a small yellow or aged mark on the lace in the back of the dress, near the buttons. It's more of a discoloration that may come out if taken to the right cleaner, or could be covered by a veil. It's not noticeable until you look closely. There is also part of the train hem that brushed on the floor at the bottom that couldn't be removed at the cleaners. It's just in the train section and cannot be seen when worn.
For the best fit, compare your measurements to those of the sellers. As long as EACH of your measurements are the same or smaller than the seller’s, the dress should work for you. Read how to take your dress measurements here.
