Jim Hjelm 8814 Wedding Dress
This is a beautiful, new Jim Hjelm dress, style 8814 – one of Jim Hjelm’s best selling styles, in the unique blush pink color. This fitted french alencon lace halter mermaid dress was the only dress that fit exactly what I was looking for – the silhouette, use of materials and color – it definitely is not your average white strapless dress!
Pictures don’t do this dress justice. I was getting married in Hawaii and purchased this dress for my wedding, however, the wedding never happened and I finally got to listing it for sale. It has been stored in a dress bag in the closet ever since. Was tried on for alterations. This dress retails between $3,500 – $4,300. Get it for a fraction of the cost! This dress will fit a street size 2 -4 – see alterations for more details. The original intent was to add in a corset in the back as I have a larger ribcage, and use the extra satin ribbon to lace it up!
Please ask any questions. This is a final sale dress – and I can accept payment via escrow.com or paypal.com.
This dress is a Jim Hjelm size 10, which runs at least 2 to 3 size small. This will fit a street size 2 - 4 well. Alterations done: The sides were taken in a quarter of an inch on each side to make it a tad more fitted (size 10 was a bit too big). The lace halter was taken up as was the length of the dress - it was too long, made for someone tall - 5'10" or so. This dress will fit someone 5'6" tall (with shoes on - not showing from under the dress). Measurements: Bust: 32-34" / Waist: 28" / Hips: 37.5" This dress already has a bustle for the train and the bottom of the dress on the interior has a 1.5" lining which helps to keep the bottom of the dress from ripping and helps to keep it laying flat and adds a bit of backing structure - see photo.
Has been hung in the closet in the garment / dress bag.
For the best fit, compare your measurements to those of the sellers. As long as EACH of your measurements are the same or smaller than the seller’s, the dress should work for you. Read how to take your dress measurements here.
Purchase with paypal or escrow.com and you’ll be fully protected if your item doesn’t ship or arrives and is different than described. Read more about purchase protection here.
