Vera Wang Ethel/ 122010 Wedding Dress

This listing is for Vera Wang’s “Ethel” gown from her Fall 2010 collection. This is the same dress that Khloe Kardashian wore in her wedding. My dress was specifically purchased from Bridal Galleria in San Francisco, CA and worn for my October 2011 wedding. The dress was worn during my ceremony and during my reception. I do have the original receipt and note of authenticity (I am the original owner/purchaser). This was the 3rd wedding dress I tried on and I fell in love with it instantly. The bodice is so flattering and the organza on the bottom is unbelievably sewn. I felt like I could have been at the oscars in the dress! I'm happy to send additional photos as well. Some of mine would not up load onto this system.

A little bit about the dress: The fabric manipulation and layers of folded fabric, create depth and character in this gown. Ethel flirts more with couture than other dresses in her collection by showcasing a mastery of cutting and folding. Each swirling tissue organza flange of the skirt is hand-cut. The look is incredibly romantic despite the lack of beading, lace or petticoats. Additionally, Ethel is made of a new fabric of stretch Mikado, allowing innovation in form. The bodice of Ethel is a contrast, clean and structured, with fabric buttons adorning the zippered back. The color is called “natural,” which is off-white (not quite ivory or white). There is a sweep train of two feet with an American bustle and hand sewn ties. This dress is unbelievably flattering and comfortable and gives a fabulous hourglass figure. The gown comes with an ivory and navy grosgrain belt, (both are COMPLIMENTARY with this purchase). The gown has been a part of Vera Wangs trunk show best of collection, so you are able try on a sample in a boutique carrying her collection if you are interested.

The gown is made of 79% silk 16% ply and 5% spandex. The lining is taffeta which is 60% poly 33% nylon and 7% spandex. The Tulle bottom is 100% Nylon Style 122010. Buyer is responsible for picking up or shipping charges.

I wore the dress with 3.5 inch heels. I was around 5'7.5 with the wedding shoes on. As noted, the dress was slightly alliterated on the bottom, however I did not alter it in the hips and legs. I felt this would be more comfortable and easier to walk/ dance in. Many other brides that purchased this dress likely took it in around these areas for a more fitted look. The great thing about my gown is that you choose your style.

Notes about the state of the gown: There is minimal wear in the tissue organza flanges. The gown has been thoroughly cleaned and professionally preserved. Please contact me if you have any questions

**Please note: Shipping costs are paid by the buyer.**

Dress Alterations

Minimal alterations. The only alteration made was for length. The dress was taken in around the bottom.

Dry Cleaning/Preservation

The dress was professionally dry cleaned in San Francisco shortly after the wedding and was preserved in airtight packaging. It has not been removed from the packing since being laundered.
