Dress Alterations
The gown's waist was taken in around 3 inches (try on photo shows how much it needed to be taken in), hemmed in the front to suit my 5'3" height in shoes and the front of the bust was taken in the front using tucks so that it wouldn't protrude from my chest. The train was left alone, so by comparison the train looks even more dramatic and longer than the original dress. The length of the jacket was reduced by 1-2 inches, tucked at the top of the shoulders, which also brought the sleeves up slightly. It was also taken in at the waist by about 1-2 inches.

Included Accessories
The gown comes with a free Jason Alexander A097 ivory lace jacket that looks like a natural match with the gown. The jacket features ivory embroidered floral appliques on lace, a scalloped bateau neckline that dips to the mid-back, a button-up back, scalloped 3/4 sleeves and a scalloped hemline that hits at the high-waist line. I don't remember the size of the jacket but it was tailored to fit perfectly on top. I am also including the acid-free museum-style preservation box (including tissue paper) that Prestige Preservation used to pack the gown, as well as a dust cover from another dress.
Dry Cleaning/Preservation
The gown and jacket have been altered, dry cleaned and it was professionally preserved for the last 5 years. I took it out of the acid free box to get better photos of the bodice, since most of my photos were taken with the jacket on.
Allure Bridals 2701 Wedding Dress
This is the Allure Bridal / Allure Romance 2701 strapless gown, which comes with a free Justin Alexander Illusion Jacket (A097) that is a very good match for the gown.
The gown's features:
- Classic and elegant strapless ball gown silhouette witth a low back
- A long chapel train (or short cathedral train), measuring around 5 feet from the waist
- English net with climbing embroidered floral appliques
- A zip closure, with faux buttons that trail all the way down the train. The buttons alternate between satin-covered buttons and bead/rhinestone buttons (3 satin buttons for every bead/rhinestone button).
- Lightly boned bodice
- Skirt has 8 layers including the top layer, creating a romantic, princess look
- Subtle bustle loops that connect to the bodice of the gown; the hooks on the bodice are very well hidden under floral lace appliqués.
FYI: There is a large tear on one several of the underskirts on the back of the train. This underskirt is not supposed to be visible ordinarily. In my honest opinion, the underskirt would have to be replaced if you wanted it to look new. BUT it can also be inexpensively sewn up and hemmed a little higher so that it is invisible when worn (as intended).
