I wore this dress for my recent destination wedding/elopement in southern Portugal. My husband and I had been in a transatlantic relationship for the past 4 years, and so we wanted a simple and stress-free wedding day. For the ceremony, I wanted an off-white, romantic (lace!), and travel-friendly dress. There is a very minimal train, but the underside has a loop sewn in. The dress is a soft jersey under lace, and makes a great travel companion (it fit into my carry-on suitcase!), and would be especially great for brides considering a destination wedding! I fell in love with this dress immediately, and it was the first one I tried on! It fits like a glove, but is very comfortable and does not constrict in any way. Saying “yes” to the dress was much easier than I ever imagined. The actual color is “ivory/almond”, though it is most similar to an off-white.

Overall, the dress is in excellent condition. I wore it for 4-5 hours, but because we didn’t really have a traditional reception (no dragging it across a dance floor with spilled drinks!), it looks (and is!) just like new.

Sizing: I am 5'3" and weigh around 106-108 pounds. We ordered the dress in a size 2 (I measured to be a 0 in the waist, and a 2 in the bust - so we ordered the 2). I wore a spanx slip underneath to ensure that the dress did not go between my legs. I also wore a strapless pushup bra with "falsies" to fill it out. I'm a 34A, so depending on your size these additions may or may not be necessary. I would recommend the slip though, as I think it is helpful. In the end, the following alterations were made by a seamstress: 1) hemmed 3 3/4" from the bottom to accommodate my shoe choice (flip flops), 2) the bust and waist sections were also taken in (though I don't have the specs on how many inches -- please refer to bust/waist/hips measurements and height/weight info above). Additionally, my mom transformed the bow (back) into a sash with a clip. Honestly, it looks much more classy (and tying those bows "just right" can be a real hassle).

The dress has been gently cleaned by hand with Woolite. Given that I wore it for the ceremony and dinner, and we didn't have a reception (no sweating it out all night on a dance floor), this dress is in excellent condition. No stains, tears, rips on the dress! The last 5 photos are what the dress post-cleaning (you can see an example of the cleaned hemline). Apologizes for the fact that some of the photos are upside-down and sideways -- that's how they uploaded.
