All love stories are amazing to hear, but the ones that everyone (including Hollywood) seems to love the most are those take a few twists and turns along the way. Tyler and Marissa’s story is just that, and with these incredibly scenic images from Once Wed Preferred Vendor Jessica Rose Photography, we hope that you enjoy their tale.

From the bride:
“Tyler and I met our first day of college in Seattle and became instant-friends; however it wasn’t until four years later that we experienced the “aha!” moment and wondered why we hadn’t been together all along. But by then Tyler had already accepted a job in DC and I was moving back to Los Angeles, so dating didn’t come easy. It was a long road back to each other, but the solid friendship and deep love that had grown between us all those years managed to withstand the distance. Tyler pursued me the old fashioned way with handwritten letters, which I’ve kept safely in a box for our children to read one day. And seven years after we first met, we finally moved back to Seattle to start a new life together in a wonderfully familiar place. If we’ve learned one thing, it’s that good love stories- the ones that really stick with you- are never perfect. They have long intermissions, moments that feel like failure, and plenty of asking for help along the way. But when you’re both standing side by side in spite of all the odds that were stacked against you, love is the sweetest kind of victory. And if you ask me, that’s a pretty good story.”

From the photographer, Jessica Rose Photography:
“Rattlesnake Ridge offered the perfect backdrop to showcase the love these two share. Deep and beautiful, full of rich history, this is a place (and these are the people) that defy the odds and become even more beautiful because of them.”
