For many people, the idea of being photographed can be daunting, especially in the intimate way that goes hand in hand with the sentiment of weddings and engagements. That’s exactly how Leeor and Taylor felt, and given that their engagement photo session would take place in their own home, it felt increasingly intimate. We can’t emphasize enough that it’s so important to find a photographer who, not only do you love their work, but also connects with you and respects your needs. Share with them if you are nervous to be photographed, and a truly gracious artist will be able to find ways to around your nerves.

Read on for more from this bride and her thoughts on this topic:
“It was important for my husband and I to find a photographer who truly understood the influence of an environment, especially personal space. Meghan helps tell the story of a space and how we experience it. She captures the often-overlooked detail – a glance between us that managed to say everything – and frames it perfectly. She has an easy elegance about her and that quality transcends through her photographs. My husband and I are quite private and rarely intimate in front of others so the thought of having someone try to capture our feelings in an authentic way seemed daunting. After tirelessly stalking her on Instagram, we met and she had us at hello. She is an exceptionally kind human being and a pleasure to be around. To see the world through Meghan’s eyes for one day would be an absolute treat. Thankfully we have her photographs and can catch a glimpse everyday. Edgar Degas said “Art is not what you see but what you make others see” and that is true for Meghan.”

This is everything my wife and I wanted our engagement photos to be. Fun, candid with some intensity.
