When many members of your groom’s family are from France, it’s inevitable that there will be some French influence in the design and planning of your wedding. Today’s sweet couple, Melanie and Will, did a beautiful job of incorporating French flair into their fall wedding in California.
Starting with a beautiful autumn palette of marsala, mauve, the tiniest hint of peach, and fresh greens and whites, the couple selected lush floral details and an amazing oversized farm table for their outdoor reception, and mixed in details like French literature and readings.
More from the bride: “I was inspired by fall in wine country—pops of marsala and mauve mixed with flowing vines. My husband is part French, and most of his family flew over for our wedding—some visiting the States for the first time! I wanted a French flair for the design, the location, and, of course, the food. Barndiva couldn’t have been a better fit. Our wedding was rustic, romantic and very French-inspired. My husband’s one must-have was to celebrate our marriage like the French, late through the night. Most spots in the area close at 11pm. Barndiva stays open until 2am—another win for our awesome venue find! Lukka at Barndiva not only helped us plan—he was also our officiant. We wanted my husband’s family to feel part of the ceremony, and Lukka made our wish come true. He spoke French beautifully, translating a few parts in his passage. He chose such heartfelt readings—I couldn’t have imagined a more touching ceremony.”
