Intimate Fall Wedding in California

We at Once Wed have a special love for intimate events. Whether that’s an elopement or just a smaller guest list, there is just a different sense of welcome with an intimate wedding. Today’s wedding, with it’s short guest list, is no exception. With fewer guests, the couple was able to focus on creating an atmosphere that was warm and inviting, completely perfect for the mid-October wedding date.

Deep shades of pink, burgundy, and brown warmed up the soft colour palette, while textured linens and velvet accents brought depth to the reception tables. We love the clustering of small vessels filled with rich blooms, repeated down the length of the long tables, while personalized menus remind each guest that he or she is loved by the newlyweds.

Looking for more inspiration for your intimate wedding or elopement? A wedding at home would certainly have its challenges but many more rewards, while this flower-filled outdoor wedding is filled with beautiful ideas, and this magical forest elopement is not to be missed.

More from the planner, Kelly of Event of The Season:
“We wanted the mood to be really warm and inviting. The wedding was mid-October so we worked in warm autumnal details. We chose a nature-inspired look to enhance and not compete with the natural beauty of San Ysidro Ranch. Camille used beautiful foliage and layers of small to large fluffy blooms to add interest and texture to the floral pieces. In Camille’s words the foliage created long, organic lines and movement for an elegantly-wild style.”
