The best weddings are the ones where you can really and honestly see the couple and their love for each other in everything that happens that day. This is why we love elopements: without all the extras that a typical wedding usually has, the couple is free to just focus on each other and the reasons why they’re committing to each other. This windy mountainside elopement couldn’t be more wonderful. Inna and Igor were married this summer, and these photos and video tell their story with such beauty: the way Igor’s eyes can’t get enough of his wife, the way her hands simply reach out to him.

See how other couples have eloped: a simple courthouse elopement, a magical elopement in the Rockies, this chic adventure in the South Carolina wilderness, and this ethereal forest elopement.

Read on for more from the photographer, Amanda Lenhardt:
“Inspired by the idea of being young and wildly in love, this elopement blossomed out of my fondness for the Northwest and desire for simplicity. The landscape of the Northwest inspires me every time I visit. The vast variety of terrain, the wild nature of the coast, and the mountains make it an amazing backdrop to share your vows. Pair that with a couple deeply in love and this shoot went from just a dream to reality.”

There are so many reasons I love elopements, but mostly because of the focus it allows you to have on each other. It gives you the ability to remove all the distractions and get consumed in one another. I wanted this shoot to reflect what was important to the couple and to keep things simple. We decided for them to share communion with one another as a reflection of their faith and the marriage they desire to live out. It was just these few details that made this experience so special. With the wind in their hair and their crazy, wild love on full display, we all got lost in the moment that day.”
