From the planner/designer:
Karissa and Shockey’s Telluride wedding was an accumulation of artful and thoughtful details coming together like a symphony. From the dreamy backdrop of the San Juan mountains down to the couple’s handcrafted jewelry and attire, this wedding was a true representation of them as individuals and together. The couple knew early on they wanted to celebrate their love surrounded by 12,000 foot peaks and 360 degree views. Adventure, admiration for mountains, and nature are big parts of their relationship and what they find sacred. Fortunately, these things had the makings for a great party!

Trying to name a wedding style is often tricky, because, similar to the couple, wedding style is a blend of so many themes and inspirational elements. Ultimately, the central design focus became the feelings they wanted to evoke: intimacy, relaxation, joy, and authenticity. As expected, their wedding day embodied all those feelings and more.

From the bride:
Though we wanted the whole day to come together for our guests, my favorite part was the ceremony. We included friends and family as officiants, readers, “blessing” givers, and even as a choir. Making our commitments to one another among our favorite people, under Colorado’s blue sky, with the rustling of wind in the aspens and song in the air, is a feeling I’ll keep for a long time. If I were to give any advice, it would be to go with the flow. In the end, anything that doesn’t go according to plan is the stuff of funny, imperfect stories. Keep it lighthearted and focus on the important stuff.
