At Once Wed and If I Made , we love nothing more than creatives sharing with other creatives. This collaboration always results in feelings of being inspired, and translates into beautiful work for their brides. Here is a wonderful example of this mentoring process:
My one-on-one mentorship with Heather was a true turning point for my business. Before my time with Heather, I was in a creative plateau and had lost my spark and excitement for my favorite art form! I wasn’t passionate anymore and felt like throwing in the towel on this dream. After our time together, I learned more than I ever imagined I could have. Heather took her time to get to know me and my needs, then created this custom shoot to elevate my work, teach me the process of slowing down, and learn how to create intentional art – using lines, patterns, shadows and backgrounds. She truly wanted me to experience freedom and growth and to leave nothing behind when it comes to being a creative business owner.
When mentoring, my biggest goal is to create a custom experience for each individual to meet them in their current needs. I’m so grateful to share my tips in creating fine art imagery and help a fellow photographer discover their unique voice. The vision for this shoot began with the architectural setting of Rosemary Beach in Florida. The natural lines in the buildings, shore line and dresses draw your eye into each photo and tells a beautiful calming story. It was such a joy to see Dani discover her own voice from within!
