From Jenn, the floral designer:
The bride Merissa is an interior designer by trade and had a clear concept of the mood she wanted to convey throughout her ceremony and reception.  With this in mind, she selected vendors that she felt would compliment each others aesthetics and achieve her vision. With a rooftop ceremony overlooking the city and an elegant ballroom reception, the couple they each wanted to work with the masculinity of the interior design by juxtaposing tones and textures.

The invitation suite was the main point of inspiration, with clean simple typography against ecru tones. This was layered with conceptual drawings of the couple by Joy Sunyoung Fitzgerald. Seeing that the the modernity of the space necessitated romantic and lush flowers, the bride chose a color story which softened each space. For the outdoors  area they decided on a lush palette in shades of blush, plum, and apricot. Upon moving indoors for the reception, the guests were greeted by a more subdued palette with tones of ivory and ochre – all with beautiful results!
