Modern Caribbean-Inspired Wedding Ideas

Whether your wedding is taking place in the Caribbean or if you’re looking to bring a little bit of that island flavor to your wedding, we’re happy to say that you can still blend a minimalist, modern style with the vibrant, eclectic feel that the Caribbean is known for. This editorial, photographed in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, showcases the best of both worlds: lush, tropical foliage, and flowers along with a clean-lined gown and natural linen. Want to hop on a plane for the islands? We sure do.

More from the photographer, Tracy Enoch:
“The streets of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, arguably one of the most eclectic and culturally diverse Caribbean cities, provided a naturally beautiful background for this minimalist bridal editorial. Utilizing the breathtaking Old World charm of the colorful 17th century buildings in the towns epicenter, Meggie Francisco, of Meggie Francisco Events was able to create a balanced design using a neutral color palette that was in perfect balance with the vibrant flair of the city. The lush bridal bouquet was designed using tropical flowers and greenery foraged from the beautiful local surroundings, and it paired nicely with the clean lines of the off-the-shoulder Amanda Uprichard gown. Our team was inspired by the openness and hospitable nature of the people of Old San Juan and set out to showcase these traits by creating a design that was simply complimentary in nature.”
