Given that a large portion of our job is looking through wedding photos, we’ve had the pleasure of seeing many important moments captured. We always try to stress the importance of finding a great wedding photographer who you connect with, but we don’t always talk about videography. Videos have a unique ability to capture more than just the individual moments of your wedding day, so today, we invited Lily and Lime to tell us why you should create lasting memories with wedding videography.
Simply put, videos are an interactive way to capture milestones. Your wedding day is one of the most important milestones in your life, so it only makes sense that you would want to remember each moment. Personally, I remember loving each of the toasts given at my wedding, but do I actually remember them? No — and I so wish that I had them on video! Whether speeches are moving or humorous, having those words recorded will give you the opportunity to look back, and will mean so much more to you when family members or friends have passed away. Or, imagine those first few nervous steps on the dance floor as you sway to your first dance as husband and wife: a wedding video will capture your excitement along with every movement you make.
Another great moment that you will want to look back on is your first look. That moment was one my favorites from our wedding day: the anticipation, the waiting, the excitement just bubbling over. The photos of it are so precious to me, but in all the excitement, I don’t remember a single word that was spoken. Being able to relive these beautiful moments from your wedding day is incredible. One day, you might show these with your kids, sharing more of your story with them.
