From photographer Meghan K Sadler:
This editorial focuses on the moments between a bride and groom after the wedding. When all of the toasts and all of the celebrations are over. And when all of the anxieties and nerves have subsided. The moments when the new couple make their way to their private retreat for their first night as man and wife. The editorial captures these private moments of realization and intimacy between the newly married couple.

We wanted to focus on the deconstructed moments, contrary to the perfection and precision from pre-wedding preparations. When the bride and groom can finally breathe, be in the moment, and embrace each other as newlyweds. Rich winter, and somewhat faded hues of the floral compliment the historic bed and breakfast located in New Orleans. The Alexandra Grecco gown reflects the eminent history of the city and the space. And the esoteric character of the city mimics the special relationship between the bride and groom, which is unique to them, and is to be preserved. We wanted to capture these moments in the photographs.
