Everybody loves a celebrity wedding, and the early 2000s were full of A-listers saying, “I do”. The stunning brides ranged from singers and actors to first daughters and royalty. Here are some of the iconic wedding-day looks we can’t stop thinking about.

Jennifer Aniston

Ahh, Brad and Jen—one of America’s favorite power couples. The duo was together for two years before their wedding in July 2000. The Malibu nuptials were flashy, super traditional, and quite frankly the wedding of the new millennium. Jen’s wedding dress by Lawrence Steele boasted a glass-beaded low back paired with a classic veil.

Jennifer Lopez

Another Jenny on the block, Jennifer Lopez walked down the aisle in 2001 with her former backup dancer Cris Judd. Her square-necked Valentino gown was super romantic, made from Chantilly lace and sheer, pearl-embellished sleeves. To complete the look, she added a sleek updo and a simple veil.

Gwen Stefani

Singer Gwen Stefani went out-of-the-box with a white and pink ombre gown for her 2002 nuptials to Gavin Rossdale. The gown, designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior, was dip-dyed and hand-painted specifically for Stefani. After the wedding, Stefani donated her “work of art” gown to the Victoria & Albert Museum in London—where it was featured in a wedding dress exhibit in 2014.

In 2005, Camilla Parker-Bowles wed Prince Charles in a pale blue, floor-sweeping coat, and a chiffon dress by Robinson Valentine. The Duchess of Cornwall paired the look with a stunning Philip Treacy gold-feathered headpiece.

Another high-profile couple: Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. The couple wed in a beautiful castle in Rome in 2006. Katie’s gown was designed by the couple’s friend and wedding guest Giorgio Armani—an off-the-shoulder silk and lace stunner. It took 350 hours to place the Swarovski crystals all over the gown.

Nicole Kidman

In June of that same year, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban got hitched. Nicole’s one-shouldered gown with an empire waist was a beautiful mix of vintage and modern. Her soft curls made the whole look even more romantic.

Jenna Bush was positively glowing on her wedding day in 2008. At her family’s estate in Crawford, Texas, Jenna wore a beaded organza gown designed by Oscar de la Renta. The gown boasted stunning embroidery, a modest train, and a V-neck front and back. Instead of a veil, Jenna wore white flowers in her hair.

Also in 2008, Queen B married Jay-Z at their Manhattan home. Her strapless white taffeta gown featured an angular sweetheart neckline and asymmetrical ruching. To make things extra special, the gown was actually designed by her mother. Beyonce finished the look with a sleek bun, trailing veil, and simple pearl earrings. We loved it all!

For their private, at-home wedding in Beverly Hills, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi both wore custom Zac Posen designs. Portia’s pink ball gown was stunning, with a halter-style bodice and beautiful full skirt. It fit perfectly with her pink diamond engagement ring.

Mariah Carey

One of the most shocking weddings of the 2000s was when Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were hitched. The duo said, “I do” in Mariah’s home in the Bahamas, just six weeks after they started dating. She wore a beachy slip dress by designer Nile Cmylo and a simple shoulder-length veil. After saying their vows, the couple jumped into the ocean together.

Salma Hayek

In true romantic fashion, Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault were married on Valentine’s Day in 2009. The couple wed inside the City Hall of the Sixth Arrondissement in Paris. Hayek dazzled in a princess ball gown with an embellished bodice, designed by Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière. Talk about a dreamy wedding!

Gisele Bündchen

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady also had a fairytale-like wedding. In 2009, the duo had a private ceremony at California’s Santa Monica Catholic Church. Fun fact: they planned the wedding in just ten days! Gisele wowed in a fitted lace gown with a flowing train and traditional tulle veil with lace trim.

Ivanka Trump

Starting marital bliss in style, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner tied the knot at the Trump National Golf Club in 2009. The couple also had a short engagement, about three months long. For her nuptials, Ivanka had a Grace Kelly-inspired gown with delicate lace sleeves and an A-line silhouette. The dress, a custom Vera Wang design, was estimated at $50,000.

We couldn’t go down the memory lane of the 2000s without highlighting a few iconic gowns from the big screen, too. It all started with Jennifer Lopez in the 2001 hit The Wedding Planner. She may not have made it down the aisle with this vintage-inspired gown, but she did end up with the guy she truly loved (the handsome Matthew McConaughey, in case you forgot).

In 2003, Kiera Knightley rocked a fashion-forward skirt, crop top, and sheer overshirt in the Christmas rom-com Love Actually. It was super modern with a boho feel. A year later, Anne Hathaway donned a romantic and super-regal lace-sleeved wedding dress in The Princess Diaries 2.

Jump a few years to 2008, when Sarah Jessica Parker wore a show-stopping Vivienne Westwood in the Sex & The City movie. It was a great mix of bold sophistication and modern princess, and the stunning feather headpiece was the perfect Carrie Bradshaw accent. The comedic rom-com Bride Wars featured not one but two amazing bridal gowns by Vera Wang. Kate Hudson’s sweetheart tulle ball gown with the lavender sash was romantic and girly. Anne Hathaway’s ivory fit-and-flare gown had a more vintage feel, and the one-shoulder neckline with the off-the-shoulder twist gave it modern flair. We were obsessed with each of these looks in the 2000s and it still holds true today!
