Many wedding professionals take part in photo shoots or workshops, enabling them to work on their craft and create work that they’re inspired by. We think this is fabulous – everyone should have the opportunity to pursue their curiosities and interests, and when art is made as a result, it’s even better.
This simple wedding inspiration shoot with feminine style was created as part of a photography workshop, and there’s plenty of beautiful ideas to be found here by brides-to-be! Elegant portraiture, refined table decor with a minimalist style, and feminine florals with organic style (we love that fresh fruit was added in to the mix!).

“This beautiful styled shoot happened this past fall in historic Dundurn Castle at Ontario, Canada as part of my 1:1 mentorship with Artiese Studios. As the summer days come to an end, the soft breeze of early fall whispers into the ears and gently touches your skin… And this was surely the starting point and inspiration to our amazing stylist and planner Laura from Laura Olsen Events. The decorations, tablescape and ceremony set up were to be organic, minimal, elegant, yet laid back to not only match but enhance the beauty of the season. Sweet Woodruff was definitely very successful at delivering the idea with their exceptional florals. The floral arrangements were so romantic, organic and timeless and it seemed like they had always been a part of this space.
As the photographer, it was very important for me to capture all these elements and feelings. I believe images are the visual translators of our feelings, and film photography gives me that ability to re-create all those perfect moments and the most perfect way. I absolutely love how light, color and texture translates in film photography. To me, every image feels like a hand made piece and nothing is more important than feeling achievement in something that you are so passionate about… and strive for more!”
