From Stylist Linn Peterson:
We wanted to create something different for this shoot. The styling portion took departure in a monochrome color palette. We were hoping to speak to the women who are looking for lifestyle, wedding or vow-renewal inspiration that doesn’t revolve around the traditional beautiful long gown look and dramatic outdoor scenery. Instead we aimed for a look that was a bit more edgy, but still conveyed a mature elegance, and shot in a studio environment, thus simplifying the narrative by subtracting any distractions from the design. By focusing on minimalistic design and combining this with silky fabrics and heavier knits like wool and cashmere, we sought to portray a confident woman, exuding class and sophistication. A woman who knows and loves who she is.
It’s always exciting to see how a styled photoshoot comes together. Often we don’t meet the model in person until the day of the shoot, and although flowers, hair and makeup, and clothes have thoughtfully been planned in advance by a team of talented individuals, you never know how they will all compliment each other until you see it together on set. When shooting film, that sense of nervous excitement is prolonged a little longer because you don’t see the finished product until your scans come back from the lab a few weeks later.
This time we were all very confident and happy with where the shoot was heading, while on set. Our team of hair and makeup artists perfected our vision. Kelly Lenard designed the florals, and we loved the dramatic interplay between the wildness of the centerpiece and bouquet and the beautiful simplicity of our leading lady. Hopefully some of you will see this and feel inspired too.

Featured Unique Elopement in Spain
Elopements have this unique ability to allow a couple to shake off the reigns of tradition and do whatever suits them best. In this event, captured by Meghan Kay Sadler, we love how the couple combined their elopement with their honeymoon, travelling through Spain without any particular plans, and enjoying it all the way.
