To mix and match, or not? Long dresses or short? And of course, the big question: “will you be able to wear it again?” When it comes to finding the right bridesmaid dresses for your best friends, we’ve heard every single question. And so it happens, BHLDN has all the answers! So today, we’ve partnered to put together your guide to finding chic bridesmaid dresses, highlighting all of the top trends for 2017!

Trending Colors
Selecting the perfect palette for your wedding was likely one of the earliest decisions you made. Your color combinations should carry over into finding the perfect bridesmaid dresses, and for 2017 and 2018 weddings, some of our favorite bridesmaid hues are different shades of blues (and in our opinion, blue is one of those colors that actually does flatter every skin tone!), berry hues like black cherry (we think this deco-inspired dress has just the right embellishment for your maid of honor), blush (with a boho vibe!), and one of the most popular colors for bridesmaids from this past season, white. Whether you want each of your ‘maids to wear the same tone but a different dress, or different dresses in different colors, these are some of our favorite options for mixing it up.

Take Mixing and Matching to the Next Level
We have to say that we’re quite fond of the mixing and matching style that bridal parties have adopted in recent years. So, we asked BHLDN what their best piece of advice is to take the mix-and-match trend to the next level. Their response? “It’s all about adding in texture, print, and separates to make each look stand out from the crowd yet remain cohesive with looks your ‘maids will want to wear again!” We know that it can be a little nerve-wracking to select printed dresses for your friends, so maybe start small with a soft watercolor-inspired floral pattern, like the Alana dress pictured above. Or, choose a few separates pieces that can be combined in different ways — the effect will be subtle, but still bring texture and interest to your photos.

It’s okay — even better! — to have differing hemlines, even incorporating bridesmaids jumpsuits (like this Mara Jumpsuit ). Mixing fabric, prints, hemlines, silhouettes, and necklines will really bring dynamic and interest to your bridal party attire.
