Crisp Whites and Touches of Green Made This Australian Wedding The Perfect Mix of Classic and Modern Elegance

From Karen, the dress designer:

“Married in Our Lady of Victories Basilica, Camberwell, Peta and Ante’s wedding was beautiful, light-hearted and full of fun moments. Peta said there was a moment just after she and Ante entered the reception where her entire wedding guestlist flocked to the dancefloor before entrees were even served, and she knew then that this was going to be the best day of their lives.

Being a Sydney girl, Peta didn’t know of many Melbourne venues for a wedding but she spotted Stones of the Yarra Valley on Instagram one day and decided even before she’d visited, that this was the place for their reception. She had always wanted a small intimate wedding but with Ante having a very large Croatian guest list, they needed to strike a balance.

The couple agreed from the beginning that they wanted a classic white wedding with lots of greenery to keep with the beauty and style of the venue. The gown that Peta wore was nothing like she had ever pictured for herself, the skirt was fuller and the bustier was like nothing she’d ever worn before but after putting it on, her face lit up, she couldn’t stop smiling and she knew it was the one.”
