From the photographer:
Johann and Emily contacted us earlier this year to commission us to make photographs for them during their stay in Florence, Italy while they celebrated their second wedding anniversary. From the very early stages, when we started to discuss attire and locations for the shoot, it was clear that we were headed on a beautiful journey with a style concious couple.

We started the day in one of the small handful of rooms at the luxurious Il Salviatino, nestled into hills surrounding Florence with stunning views over the Tuscan capital. The intimate bedroom and elegant details of the hotel, set a calm and romantic scene for the day ahead. After a slow and peaceful morning, Johann and Emily took a short drive to ‘Da Florence,’ a street side restaurant serving chic and delicate Italian dishes before heading home to change for a date that evening which took in the globally renowned Uzzifi Gallery. This made for a perfect couple of hours out of the intense afternoon Tuscan sun. Packed to the rafters with masterpiece upon masterpiece, the building itself is an extravagant feast for the eyes around every pillar, arch and staircase.

A few steps in any direction out of the hustle of this dynamic city, lie little pockets of peace and romance. As the light turned golden with the evening, we enjoyed some contemplative moments in several of these little enchanting back streets and time worn piazzas. The remainder of the day was spent wandering the stone cobbled streets surrounding the Duomo Cathedral, undoubtedly the most iconic building in Tuscany.
