Jenn Sanchez Floral Design

As the first wedding to take place at the new Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, planning the design for Merissa and Alex’s wedding allowed us to approach the event with no preconceived vision of how to adorn the space. An interior designer by trade, the bride had a clear concept of the mood she wanted to convey throughout and hand selected vendors that she felt would compliment each others aesthetics. With a rooftop ceremony overlooking the city and elegant ballroom reception they each wanted to work with the masculinity of the interior design by juxtoposing soft and neutral tones and textures.

Starting with the invitation suite as main point of inspiration she worked with Kaela Rawson to create clean simple typography against ecru tones and included conceptual drawings of the couple by Joy Sunyoung Fitzgerald. Seeing that the the modernity of the space necessitated romantic and lush flowers, the bride worked with Jenn Sanchez Floral to chose a color story which aided each space. They decided on a more complex ceremony palette in shades of blush, plum, and apricot, to simple more subdued tones of ivory and ochre in the reception space. The wedding was beautifully executed by Jeannie Savage of Details Details and photographed by Meghan K Sadler.
