The idea for the place cards sprouted from the realization that I over-bought certain materials for the invitations. I created a document in Adobe Illustrator with each guests name and their table number. I printed this out on a sheet of cotton twill (yes, fabric sheets that you can run through your home printer!) and then tore the fabric to create frayed edges on each place card. And for the finishing touch, an iridescent button was attached to each fabric card.
