There is something magically romantic about Villa Woodbine in Coconut Grove and our goal was to create a styled shoot that felt perfectly at ease with its Old World charm.  Our inspiration came from the Mediterranean Renaissance architecture of the Villa, with its Spanish arches, open air courtyard and colorful Havana tile.  We chose a color palette of soft yellows, peach, gold and terra cotta, punctuated with fresh herbs and citrus to play off of the earthy colors and rustic elegance of the location.

The foundation of our tablescape was a reclaimed barn wood table, which we dressed with lush florals in gilded terra cotta vessels, vintage brass candlesticks, amber glassware and delicate china.  A custom menu, hand lettered by Maybelle Imasa on golden paper, matched the letterpress invitation from Bella Figura that also featured her calligraphy.  A gorgeous Lazaro dress with ivory ruffles mimicked the courtyard archways and looked gorgeous in the soft afternoon light.

All of the pieces meshed seamlessly and the result was a classically elegant look that echoes the timeless appeal of the venue.
