There is something magically romantic about Villa Woodbine in Coconut Grove and our goal was to create a styled shoot that felt perfectly at ease with its Old World charm.  Our inspiration came from the Mediterranean Renaissance architecture of the Villa, with its Spanish arches, open air courtyard and colorful Havana tile.  We chose a color palette of soft yellows, peach, gold and terra cotta, punctuated with fresh herbs and citrus to play off of the earthy colors and rustic elegance of the location.

The foundation of our tablescape was a reclaimed barn wood table, which we dressed with lush florals in gilded terra cotta vessels, vintage brass candlesticks, amber glassware and delicate china.  A custom menu, hand lettered by Maybelle Imasa on golden paper, matched the letterpress invitation from Bella Figura that also featured her calligraphy.  A gorgeous Lazaro dress with ivory ruffles mimicked the courtyard archways and looked gorgeous in the soft afternoon light.

All of the pieces meshed seamlessly and the result was a classically elegant look that echoes the timeless appeal of the venue.

What a beautiful inspiration shoot! The talent behind it couldn’t be any better (Maybelle’s timeless calligraphy and Julia’s intricate floral elements to name a few) and the photography is so evocative. Ozzy’s point of view breathed life into all of the beautiful details, as only he can do. Wonderful feature and congratulations to all involved!

I was left mesmerized by the wedding gown. There’s definitely that air of old world but I love how it contrasts beautifully by the spanish revival. Reminds me of a wedding in Santa Barbara, California. Love, love, love!

Like everyone, I am in love with this dress! I can’t find it anywhere and want the style number. Can anyone help?

I contacted so many shops about the dress, and they all suggested it was Lazaro 3059. Which it is most definitely NOT. I finally contacted Lazaro and they said:
“Unfortunately that was a dress that never made the line. We probably had one sample and then it was cut from the line and the dress was sold at a sample sale. The closest to that style are 3059 and 3362.”
I’m heart broken. Sorry ladies!

Thanks for checking! I looked through every dress of theirs I could find online and thought it did resemble the style of 3059 but was much nicer. So bummed to hear it can’t be ordered. 3362 is definitely not as nice! Too bad, but now we know… :(

Oh, thats bad news! Thanks anyway for sharing. Maybe I can find a tailor who can create a dress that looks almost alike? It really is the dress of my dreams!
