Minimalist Wedding Ideas from Erich McVey Part 1

This week, we’re so excited to share a couple of wedding looks from Erich McVey that flow easily between day and night. The simplicity and elegance of this first style allows for it to transition seamlessly between a daytime ceremony and an evening reception.

If you’re looking to create a cohesive feeling for your entire wedding day, consider wearing a minimalist-inspired dress. By pairing a classically styled and designed gown with minimal embellishment, one that will allow for your beauty to speak for itself, with simple makeup and hair, you can flow from one party to the next without having to think of touching up makeup or changing your dress.

Mimi + Taylor describe this style for us:

The first look was inspired by timeless elegance. Sonthai Gi designed a simple romantic slip gown that we paired with a darling vintage 1920s fur wrap. Focusing on her hazel eyes, we kept the makeup palette soft, earthy with barely there tones. Her hair was lightly pulled back with a loose tousled low twist. We wanted to convey beauty that was effortless and sophisticated.

How stunning is this? Take these ideas and translate them to your wedding to create an elegant, effortless, and seamless day.
