Atlanta Outdoor Wedding at River Run

Joy Thigpen and I have always been surprised how few options exist for couples looking to have their wedding outside in Atlanta, so imagine our excitement when River Run Stables right here in Sandy Springs, GA(only a short drive out of the city) approached us about working with them on a shoot to help promote their new event venue. Nestled in a pocket of trees on the banks of the Chattahoochee, River Run is an oasis perfect for any couple hoping to have a more casual, intimate outdoor wedding or rehearsal dinner.

Guys, the first time I drove up to River Run I was amazed at not only how beautiful the property was, but how peaceful and removed it felt from the city even being only a short drive away from Atlanta. A wide and peaceful section of the Chattahoochee River runs along one side and a smaller offshoot of the river runs along the other side so its actually a thin strip of land resting between flowing water. It really is a “jewel on the river”.

Joy and I had a wonderful time working in such a magical place with such a great crew. Atlanta couples be sure to check out River Run if you are considering an outdoor wedding.

This is a true, stunning al fresco wedding. I live and work in Tuscany, so we often arrange country chic weddings. This one gives me a lot of inspiration. I love the chairs, a perfect crossover between shabby, vintage, country chic, as well as boho-chic (my favourite style for 2014!).

    Hi Buffy,

Do you have contact information for the staff at River Run. I’d love to learn more but I couldn’t locate an email or phone number. Any information would be a great help!

    Thanks,
    Missy
