First congratulations to who ever is reading my listing, the bride-to-be!!! I really love my wedding dress and would like to recommend it to anyone who is going to have a less formal outdoor ceremony.
I was engaged on the Christmas day in 2013 and in early February my husband and I decided to have a destination wedding in Hawaii on May 8, 2014. It took me a month to find this perfect dress: the right style that I’ve been looking for (A line) + light material + perfect fitting. It was about 70 degree in the afternoon. This dress, completely made of silk is very light and very comfortable to wear. And it is incredibly flattering to the waist butt. I’m 5’5 and 124 pounds. I don’t have a slim waist but as you can see in the picture, the waistline looks great.
The dress is also easy to take care of. I flew all the way from Boston to Hawaii on 2 flights each 6 hours with the dress with me. If you have ever had a suit or dress as a carry-on, you probably would know that the dress has gone through a lot of over the transit. However, when I got to my hotel in Maui, unzipped the garment bag – the dress was wrinkless. I didn’t iron the dress before the big day!
I’m very poor at measurements. But please free feel to ask for more pictures and any questions you have. Thanks again for reading my story about the dress.
- Alterations: Little to ZERO alterations to this dress. The only I did was adding two padded bras. The original length is kept and I didn't even bustle the dress.
- Preservation Method: I knew I was going to sell the dress. So I had it dry-cleaned by professionals right after the wedding and hanged straight in my closet waiting for her future owner.
