This is a beautiful Catherine Deane Spring Season 2014 gown purchased it at a BHLDN sample sale in January. I got it secondhand on Oncewed (only tried it on). The previous owner originally purchased it at a Sample Sale but then changed her venue and date and the dress was no longer appropriate. It’s beautiful and delicate and has never been worn to a wedding, but sadly it’s just not the dress for me.
The dress is modern but incredibly romantic. It’s slightly off-white colored. It is made up of gathered silk with an embroidered bodice and a silk satin lining. There is modified sweetheart neckline under the illusion neck. The bodice structure has and Interior stretch corset with boning and under-wire bust cups. It has a delicate, etherial column skirt that flatters both a curvy and a straight body-type.
The label reads ten, I’m 170lbs and 5’6 36C (measurements – Chest: 37″ waist: 32″) and I’m regularly a size 10, but the bodice is a little big on me. I’m assured that it can be taken down to a size 6/8 easily. The dress is in sample sale condition (so it was a store model that has been tried on a bit). There’s slight damage around the hem, but at 5’6 plus my 3 inch heels (making me 5’9), the dress would still need to be taken up well beyond the tears. There is some slight damage in the back near the zipper. It’s barely noticeable and much is covered up by the illusion bodice, but I’ve been assured by seamstresses that because of the gathered nature of the dress that fixing it is quite simple. Additionally I’ve attached video of the dress so you can see the flaws for yourself.
