(The label is Size 16; this dress would comfortably fit someone who is an 8 to 10, street size.)
I absolutely LOVE this dress. I couldn’t have been happier with it, and wouldn’t sell it except that we were over-budget and I need to make some money back. The color is called “light gold,” but looks ivory most of the time, with some gold shimmering in some pictures. It was extremely comfortable for dancing and walking. The alterations I had done included having the bottom lifted so that I could wear flats (at 5’4″) (but the bottom was not cut–so, if you’re taller, your alterations person could drop it back down for you) as well as getting somewhere around 10 french bustles included (to bustle the train in several asymmetrical places, thus matching the assymmetrical pick-ups in the dress).
I just recently got married and have been busy with other things, not having gotten it cleaned yet. There are no major stains–basically, just needs to be cleaned to get the dirt off from walking around and having it drag on the ground as I went. I would get it cleaned before selling, but I am from a small town and haven’t yet found a cleaner I trust to do a good job. The original price of this dress new at my retailer was $4000. I spent $350 on the pick-ups and other alterations.
I’d love to answer any questions and send more photos if you’d like. Seriously, if you have ANY love for Beauty and the Beast, you will feel like Belle. Even if you don’t, this dress will still make you feel like a princess.
