This is the Jenny Packham Eden dress, in “platinum” meaning that the under-dress is a beautiful gray/silver and the over-dress has silver and gold beading and detailing. I bought this dress from a fancy bridal shop on Oak St in Chicago and wore it to my wedding Sept 8, 2012 for about 8 hours. Because it is such a delicate, intricate dress and because I don’t see stains or rips (thank goodness!), I am choosing not to have it professionally cleaned before sale. The dress is UK 12 which translates to a US 8. I personally tend to wear a US 6 on top and US 8 on the bottom. I fit into a UK 10 at the store but chose a UK 12 because it looked more appropriate, with the blouson effect. I had the dress altered at the bridal store; they added a few invisible snaps along the neck line to keep the layers properly in line and they added a very small bustle with 6 hooks which you can see in the photos. The dress was $4000 new plus tax, plus alterations for $500, plus the 6-month wait. I always planned to sell it, to offset the cost, and because I want someone else to be able to enjoy it and don’t think it’s right to have it in my closet for the next 40 years. It’s too pretty!
