I bought it at David’s Bridal in November 2013. I normally wear a 12, so it’s actually true to size. It’s only been worn for about 6 hours total. Before that and after, it’s been kept in the original garment bag. With alternations (plain sash instead of the beaded one it came with and putting in a bustle) it ended up costing about $800.
Included with dress: additional beaded sash & original garment bag.
- Alterations: It came with a beaded sash which I replaced, but I'll include the beaded sash so that you can use that instead of the plain sash/ribbon I have on it. It still has the chapel train (I know some brides got rid of this). It also already has a french bustle (2 buttons, 1 for each layer). Other than having the bustle put in and having the lace on the shoulders brought in a little, no other changes have been made. It barely wrinkles at all, so it should ship well.
- Preservation Method: It was dry cleaned after the wedding in December and since then has been stored in garment bag in my closet -- I keep plenty of room around the bag to make sure it doesn't get crushed or anything like that.
