Thanks so much to Clary Pfeiffer for sharing this elegant St. Louis wedding with us! We adore all of the elegant details, and personal touches throughout this lovely wedding. The bride and groom helped design this modern and romantic wedding to combine their differing styles. Read below for some words from the bride:
From the get go, Edward and I wanted to make sure that our wedding was a reflection of both of us as a couple, set within a style that celebrated romance, our history together and a combination of both of our tastes in design.  We started with the venue to set the overall tone and then enhanced the overall look of with accenting elements that complimented the space, and the two of us.

We knew we wanted to honor our family heritage in St. Louis, MO. So we set out hunting for a venue, and found the perfect location in the historic Piper Palm House in Tower Grove Park, a conservatory in the midst of a lily pond and beautiful trees and greenery.  We loved how the long red brick building from the late 1800s was set in nature and depicted a romantic vintage feel that both Edward and I are partial to.  We wanted a light filled, fresh, clean and classically elegant look that the park and the Palm House had to offer, along with a simplicity that allowed us to make the venue unique to us.

We chose to accent the space with old and new pieces- vintage brass vases, sparkling gold pyrite rocks, minimal, modern place cards and love quotes scattered about.  We also made sure to add hand made elements into the mix, as we love personal touches.  Edward hand painted each table number and I designed our decorations.  We had a wonderful letterpress artist hand draw and press each of our invitations, and an amazing calligrapher paint each guest’s address on our stationary.  My mother, a jeweler and metal smith, hand made our wedding rings, the bridesmaids, flower girl, and my jewelry for the day, along with our silver cake server, engraved with our names and wedding date, our wedding gift from my parents

The space was lush, filled with loosely arranged flowers, each varied and full of greenery, and hints of caramel, chocolate and ivory tones.  Our florist also accented the entire space with sweet soft tea lights and pillar candles making the evening glow.

The event fell into place beautifully, with each element speaking to what Edward and I love and the visual sensibility we share.  Most importantly, we created a picturesque atmosphere where we celebrated our love and commitment to one another, with our closest family and friends all together.
