Léan and I were both living in the awesome Cape Town when he asked me to marry him. We both love the Cape so much and especially the beautiful Franschhoek winelands. We always wanted to get married there and found our dream venue at Babylonstoren. We wanted a personal wedding where we can share it with our closest friends and family and stay on the venue with our family over the whole weekend. It was just that – an amazing weekend of celebration, our own love festival!

We kept the decor true to the nature of the environment and sourced all our flowers and food from the gardens of Babylonstoren! It truly is heavenly gardens, evident in our pictures.

We involved our families as much as we could (especially our siblings, in making music) as we both come from lovely big families! It was just as we wanted it. So real, natural and elegant. And to put the cherry on top – we were blessed out of our shoes with the most beautiful weather and could realise our big special dream; to set up the dance floor outside on the grass under a few naked bulbs strung between two huge oak trees! Perfection.

The couple is obviously happy and in love! Very inspirational! Not to mention the theme of the wedding :) xx

Love their bridesmaids dresses! They have a slightly 20’s feel to them that is retro but still fits with everything rustic.

Aaaww, both the bride and groom look great together. It’s as if they were in a movie. I love the rustic theme, carefree and relaxing yet remaining to be simply elegant. Congratulations!

What an amazing venue, It almost looks foreign. I love the greenery and cacti that occupies the area, it gives such a great feel to your location. This winery looks like a must visit in my book. The romantic lighting as the sun goes down makes for such wonderful pictures. The stucco and the white incorporated in the reception area makes for such a clean and fresh look.

Featured Modern Bridal Fashion in an Exotic Indonesian Setting

Photographer Katie Grant recently travelled to Indonesia, where she photographed this modern bridal fashion editorial in the Prambanan Temple, an 9th century Hindu temple, revered as the most beautiful Hindu temple in the world. The expansive stone complex became the perfect setting for this modern bridal fashion inspiration: a chic column gown and simple greenery bouquet are a stunning contrast to the ancient setting.
