I can’t think of a better way to launch the new OnceWed.com than with this beautiful shoot from Jose Villa and Easton Events. Beautiful and elegant doesn’t seem to cut it for this shoot, a visual feast of perfection is more like it…
Inspired by the old world allure of 18th century Fenwick Hall Plantation, we wanted to create a scene with layered textures, fine heirloom china, and perfectly polished silver. We set the table beneath the canopy of an amazing oak tree which created a room surrounded by dripping Spanish moss. The soft blush and champagne palette was a lovely backdrop for the loose flowing flowers and printed suite with classic fine point calligraphy. Harkening back to the 18th century, one of our favorite textures was a beautiful open weave linen. From the loose layering on the tabletop, the pressed linen wedding invitation, to the gorgeous faint blush linen skirt of the Carol-Hannah gown, this airy and lovely texture defined the relaxed elegance of the shoot. By bringing interior heirloom luxuries outside, such as the oriental rug, polished silver, fine bone china, we created a scene of old world elegance paired with the relaxed plantation lifestyle.
Amazingly beautiful!!!! The rain makes it so dreamy.
I’m sorry, but I miss the old site! It had so much more life and character with the hand-drawn type logo. Why the change?
Hey Rachel
We’ve had the logo and same layout for over 2 years now. We were just ready for something fresh and new. We really focused on user experience for this site redesign. Take a click around and I think you’ll agree. The site is faster and all the galleries/used wedding dresses are updated with a far superior search. We’re going to be tweaking a lot over the next few months, so as the site evolves hopefully it will be something that grows on you. Thanks again for your readership and feedback. We appreciate it!
Thanks
Emily
Sorry Emily, didn’t mean to be disparaging! The site is very functional and beautiful, I only found it a bit sterile in comparison to its past iteration. I’m warming up to it–I always was a fan of minimalism! I’m sure that you will continue making oncewed a lovely and engaging wedding resource.
Awesome job Emily! Loving the new site’s
accessibility. This wedding is lovely, Jose!

Is this a real wedding or just a photo shoot put together to showcase designers, photographers, etc. It’s beautiful but seems…. “too” perfect.
Pretty sure this is a styled shoot – I don’t see any guests! But still lovely….
Beautiful photos. I really like the blue/green tones and what a stunning dress the bride is wearing.
This is gorgeous! But I don’t see any credits, I’d love to know the calligrapher/paper goods designer, as well as the dress. Am I missing them somewhere?

This has got to be the pretties wedding I’ve ever seen. So romantic and perfect.
Love the flowers! Who did them? Please tell!
Hi Emily,
Could you tell me where they found those Jimmy Choo’s? I love them and want them for my upcoming wedding! I called the Jimmy Choo store in Beverly Hills and they had never seen them. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Heather
Hi, I would really love to know who did this amazing calligraphy! Any ideas?
Thank you!
Alicia

These photos are absolutely stunning. So elegant, so delicate, so perfectly styled. Lovely!
I really wish I knew what flowers are used in the bouquet (especially the vine- what is that??). I have a wedding coming up and my florist has recommended two different vines that are not these, although she does have a picture of this already. help!
I must know the designer of the pink dress! It is stunning!!!!
