Elegant Barcelona Destination Castle Wedding II

When the day finally arrived, I felt like I was floating softly through the best dream that had ever been had: from arriving with my father to the castle to the glimmering farewell of petals and sea of candles at our exit.

During the aperitivo, we sipped cava, ate freshly cut jamon and innovative Spanish cuisine as the golden sun faded. At twilight, we moved up under the canopy of trees to dine at long tables lined with simple garland of olive branches. My cousin serenaded us with an opera song that could not have started the night off on a better note. At the end of our meal, guests leisurely enjoyed cigars, customary in Spain at weddings, and the glowing lawn below before breaking out into dancing until dawn. We are extremely blessed to have had such a special night, sharing our love with our friends and family, and we are grateful to have had Bryce so exquisitely capture our memories that we will cherish forever.

The planning, styling and execution were flawless and I cannot stress enough how important it was to work with great people who understand and shared my vision and are willing to go above and beyond to produce a beautiful event. That night they pulled an all-nighter, arriving at 8 am to their hotels, after an already long week in Barcelona preparing for our engagement shoot, boudoir session, welcome dinner, and finally the wedding. They are superstars and I cannot sing their praises enough. Many thanks to all of the great people who worked so hard during the year and throughout the weekend in Spain to make it so memorable!

Beautiful venue, beautiful people, lovely details, lovely images. You know our hearts and style are rooted in Europe so we are in love with this feature, though not at all surprised with Joy Thigpen’s talent. Thank you Once Wed for sharing it with us.

I followed the link for gown and veil and it came up with a search site. I couldn’t find the place where to get it.

What is the name of this castle? I’ve searched castles in barcelona, and can’t seem to find it. I absolutely love this venue and would like it for my own wedding. It’s perfect!

      Hi Abby,

This dress was actually custom from designer Cheryl Taylor. You can find her link in the vendors list above.

The image of the long reception table, scattered with votives and garlands has been a favorite of mine for years. I love revisiting this stunning, yet simple wedding. It’s just the best and her gown, wow. This is a classic wedding, that will set trends for years. I always recommend our clients go for long reception tables, it’s the biggest free impact from a decor perspective, I love it! Cheers! Sarah Chancey of Chancey Charm
